Loved it! Great outdoor space, incredible sound, perfect visibility from any seat, cushions available, insect repellent available. The catering for our dinner was Indonesian and was a separate eating setting with tables and chairs. The food was really good. Drinks available at the bar. Nice atmosphere and just a good evening cooling off in the breeze.
Love the “Deckie” and look forward to it opening each season. My highlight so far this year was Tiger on the Rocks, with the panel discussion following. Thanks to all the staff - you contribute to a Darwin institution!
What a gorgeous location for a sunset. Dinner available before the movie. Great selection of movies on show. Delightful venue. Book exchange, bar and nibbles also available.

Also you can have a good dinner that changes everyday.
One of my favourite cinemas in Aus. Comfy. Good movies. Good quality food & drink available - including alcohol. Plus, you’re on a cliff top with possums (or whatever they are) in the trees and stars over your head. A great night out.
Definitely go checkout Deckchair cinema if you're visiting Darwin! Get in early, otherwise you might miss out on a lounge chair (and might have to sit on plastic chairs). Bring blankets etc for cushioning, as it's not the most comfortable chairs. Alcoholic drinks are sold and very much affordable! So awesome.
Great set up at the Deckchair Cinema. We saw Indiana Jones - sound was excellent, big range of drinks and all very reasonably priced. We got there at 5.50 for a 7pm showing and got a comfy seat. Would 100% recommended.
Loved this experience! Early session starts at 7pm but they open at 6pm. Take your own picknic or buy dinner and get a drink from the bar. Get there early and claim your seat and watch the sunset 💜❤🧡💜❤🧡 …
